AI is the science of developing human-like intelligence in computing systems, where machines emulate the human behavior and expertise. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is poised as the next industrial revolution enriching the way people live and work. India being the fastest growing economy recognizes AI's potential and has strategized its approach to use AI to solve problems related to the second largest population in the world. AI is being and will be addressing national priorities, solving social challenges, increasing economic prosperity and touching every aspect of life and research.
A Hackathon where no hierarchy exists, quest of unknown and zeal of implementation persists, no limitation in imagination - only Innovation is the essence.
In the same line C-DAC and NVIDIA conceptualized and join hands together to conduct, “AI Hackathon 2019 (AIH-2019)” which opens doorways of new opportunities for budding innovators to solve grand challenges by indulging into intense technical discussion and development guided by experts.
The main objective behind the entire exercise is to bring out a working model of their ideas which may have prospects to revolutionize the way human interpret “Science of AI”.
“AI Hackathon 2019 (AIH – 2019)” provides a unique platform to participating teams to work on ideas by applying AI techniques and help those ideas to see the light of the day. Tackling real-world problems involves bringing together experts from industry and academia across disciplines. Each team will be closely mentored, monitored and guided by expert from respective domain of the targeted application. Teams and experts would deliberate, decide and implement some of the most well-established AI optimization techniques using state of the art GPU computing resources.
The hackathon will provide unique opportunity for participants to work on the pre-defined problem statements.

The teams will be ranked based on the following general criteria
No, the team does not need to submit a whole solution or demo. The expectation is that the team submits presentations/ part of the proposed solution. The more details are present in the proposed solution the more chances are for you to be among 30 selected teams.
The data sets will remain as part of the C-DAC GPU cluster and will be deleted post hackathon. All participating organizations and participants will be signing NDA or equivalent document agreeing not to copy the data outside the cluster environment.

National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) is a proposed plan by Government of India to empower India's national academic and R&D institutions spread over the country by installing a vast supercomputing grid comprising of high-performance computing facilities. These institutions would participate by using these facilities and develop applications of national relevance. The Mission also includes development of highly professional High Performance Computing (HPC) aware human resource for meeting challenges of development of these applications.
